15U Girls Black Start Too Shy.... Sorry, Two Shy
 

It was a great start to the season this past Saturday at Jacob Hespeler S.S. in Cambridge.

We went into the tournament down 2 players due to injuries but by the third match, another injury set in, giving us just 6 healthy players. The girls really stepped it up in an exciting match against MAC, just falling short in the third set 14-16. After being re-pooled, we won our next two matches giving us a record of 2-5 for the day. The team improved significantly as the day went on as the nerves and some confusion wore off.

15U Girls Black Provincial Championships 2009, April 11-13th
 

The girls had a great end to the season at Provincials. We started off strong finishing in a three-way tie for third in our pool. We unfortunately ended up third after the tie-breaking procedure.

We had a good second day as well, finishing second in our pool and giving us a good position for playoffs. We won the pre-quarter playoff match in two games straight. Our quarter final game was a tough fight but we came up just short. This placed us fifth in Division 2- tier 2.

Congratulations to Carly Wagner- our Award of Excellence recipient.
